Branding & Web Design
Valley Investments
A Breakdown of the how we created a modern identity for an established company
Valley investments is a Bay area investment company, specializing in Multifamily real estate. They were looking to modernize their brand and web presence, and have a more functional and better-looking portal for future and current investors to be able to use for deals, information, and communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES
My responsibilities were to reinvent their logo, create their website, develop all their standard print branding, and create a custom presentation template for their investment pitches.
The New Logo
Modernizing the identity
When it comes to the logo, I know I wanted to have something symbolizing charts, and use a serif font because they tend to portray a polished and professional image. I created a few options and after a little consideration, I decided to use the “VI” design since it was more elegant compared to the rest of the choices, yet still retained its visual appeal.
Print branding
The power of consistency
With their print branding, I chose to continue with the theme of less is more, For their business cards, I wanted to have their new logo on the backside, but have something different alongside the key information. I chose to convert the logo into a badge, and have it surrounded with a subtle teal gradient and a drop shadow. This provided a pleasant contrast between the teal of the badge, and the contact information, and the white of the logo and the surrounding card. I used the same badge on their Letterheads, with a subtle flat teal logo in the background.
The Website
A Core Platform
Since the website was being simplified, All pages needed to serve a core purpose, the first being a concise introduction, second an insight into their mission and leadership, and the third providing the ability to start conversations that lead to investment opportunities.
