I’m Shaurya Narang, a product designer from UC Berkeley.

Some things I’ve done outside of design lately…

Why design?

I’ve always been drawn to solving problems through creativity. Years of exploration in the disciplines of fine art, design, engineering, and technology have brought me healthy challenges, immense satisfaction, and childlike joy. I decided to become a product designer to be nestled at their intersection, as I love all of them.

A glimpse into my mission and values:

I was raised in an Indian household, but in America, so I grew up having to meticulously craft a balanced cultural identity. But this multicultural upbringing has made me hyper-aware of cultural and psychological nuances.

Understanding humans at a cultural and behavioural level is core to my values as a designer. My mission is to utilize my skills and to create inclusive, accessible, simple, and valuable products.

Outside of design?

The list is too long, but here are a couple things. I love to spend time with my close friends, my dogs , make Tik Toks for my 85,000 followers, feed my cooking obsession by exploring food from different cultures, fashion photography, and so much more.

Take care,
